Sustainability Certificate Capstone Project

from january - may 2019, i worked with a team of four other sustainability certificate students at the university of georgia to complete our capstone project.

our project included us working with collective harvest, a local community supported agriculture program to improve their business strategy and and help to increase sustainable practices in their retail space.

Some of the “mini projects” within our larger work was re-designing its webpage, increase its customer base by specifically targeting the student population in athens, make the retail space more inviting/sustainable, and finally create a proposal for delivery.

the semester-long project required the group to have weekly meetings on our own as well as weekly meetings with our advisor and stakeholders at collective harvest and in the community. Working cross-functionally as a team, we gained skills in delegation of tasks, project management, presentation skills, business analytics, sustainable business production, website development, and social media marketing.
